
Bentley Kyle Evans is a seasoned writer, producer, and director known for crafting culturally resonant stories that blend authenticity with humor. His career in entertainment began in front of the camera with the 1990 cult classic House Party, but it was behind the scenes where he discovered his true creative passion.
Evans quickly made his mark as the creator and showrunner of several iconic television series that have become cornerstones of Black television, including Martin (FOX), The Jamie Foxx Show (The WB), and Love That Girl! (TV One). His storytelling has consistently celebrated and elevated Black voices, shaping a legacy of culturally impactful content.
Expanding into feature films, Evans co-wrote the hit A Thin Line Between Love and Hate, and later became a trailblazer in original programming for Bounce TV, launching successful series such as Family Time, In the Cut, and Grown Folks. His creative partnerships have extended to streaming platforms, including Netflix’s Dad Stop Embarrassing Me! and the ALLBLK originals Partners in Rhyme and Millennials, further showcasing his dedication to innovative, inclusive storytelling.
Beyond the screen, Evans is passionate about mentoring emerging talent and remains committed to telling stories that reflect real experiences with humor, heart, and cultural relevance.
